We have had lots of people ask about what is happening on our field and we have
EXCITING NEWS!
Over the next year we are doing some building work.
It consists of;
- A bigger shop with a canopy around the outside so that people can shop even
if it is raining and you won’t have to queue for so long at busy times. - A two-way road in and out with a purpose-built car park so that it is safer to
enter and exit and we can have more disabled parking and better
accessibility. - A walkway garden path, all planted with trees and flowers and with a bench
and old-fashioned tractor to climb on. This will be inside the fencing and away
from the road for safety and to make the journey here more enjoyable. There
will also be planters available for members of the community to garden
(schools, charities and groups)
Additional benefits;
- We can convert the existing shop into a coffee shop for all year-round use. We will
be keeping the outside area for coffee among the flowers. - We can use the end room (where the till is at the moment) as a quiet space for
‘garden therapy’, talks, workshops, visits and space when people need a moment for
reflection or calm.
What will stay the same;
- We love plants. Plants are our passion and we are proud of the fact we grow
so much here on site and that our plant team can always help you with
advice. The bigger area and shop means that we will be able to grow even
more. - We love nature. Our wildlife area is hidden away but we are developing it
further so that it is a space to share, enjoy nature and use for educational
purposes in the future. - We love our community. We are a family business. The farm has been here
for three generations and we are lucky to be a part of our surrounding area. We have been so grateful for everyone’s support over the years.
We can’t believe it is 23 years ago when we first started in a tiny shed on the field
with our children in the pram beside us. If it weren’t for our customers, we wouldn’t
have been able to do this.
