Make a Kokodama and Nature Walk

This is an workshop for school age children to enjoy being outside and learn to create a Kokodama.
Join Ruth Goudy and Kim O’Brien to create Kokodamas and a nature walk at Kiln Farm Nursery
Create two Kokodamas, taught by Kim O’Brien @garden.with.kim, florist, designer, medal winner and demonstrator at Gardeners World Live
Come on a nature walk on the farm looking for signs of spring with Ruth Goudy @theflowerwriter, garden expert, writer and speaker.
ALL CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT. Not suitable for pre-school children.
The event will be outside in a marquee so dress warmly and with waterproof footware.
This is all about welcoming in the spring, encouraging children to connect with nature and enjoy making a something that teaches them about spring.
The event should last about an hour but if children and their parents want to stay longer and bring a picnic to have in the marquee afterwards they are very welcome.
About Kokodama: the word means ”moss ball” in Japanese. It is an art form where plants are wrapped in compost and moss to create a delightful hanging display.
