Hanging Basket Workshop

How to make a fantastic hanging basket brimming with summer flowers.

Included in the price is a coffee/tea/cold drink and cake/scone while Ruth gives a demonstration about creating summer hanging baskets for sunshine and hanging baskets for shade.

She will be able to answer all your questions including;

• the best plants for each setting,
• optimum number of plants,
• which plants are trailing and which are upright,
• what size and type of basket works well,
• how to choose colours,
• the fertiliser that helps the basket look fresh,
• watering techniques

After the demonstration you can purchase your own plants and basket and Ruth will help you create your own on site this evening.

Ruth has been planting up summer hanging baskets at Kiln Farm Nursery for the last twenty years.

Please bring your own gardening gloves and warm clothes as it can become chilly in the evening.  If it is wet we will be able to host the demonstration and workshop in a marquee.

Please note:  The £15 price does NOT include basket or plants so that you are free to choose whether to create your basket with Ruth on the night or in your own time.
